In implementing Highway’s advanced Vetting technology, Paul Logistics has instituted a rigorous set of guidelines to ensure the selection of the most reliable and secure carriers. These guidelines help Paul Logistics identify and maintain partnerships with only top-tier carriers - those that align with Paul's high standards and share a commitment to safeguarding the integrity of our customer’s shipments.

Paul Logistics has significantly improved oversight of its carrier operations via deep integration of Highway vetting technology within Paul’s McLeod TMS. Paul’s guidelines include requirements that:

• Carriers are verified by Highway to have both physical and digital footprints, or Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) connections with Highway.
• All manually entered identifiers for carriers must be authenticated by Highway.
• Carriers should have no current identity alerts.
• Carriers are required to possess valid Department of Transportation (DOT) or Motor Carrier (MC) numbers.

In addition,

• Carriers must possess an operating status authorized for property.
• Carriers must not be subject to any active out-of-service orders.
• Rated Carriers must maintain at least a satisfactory safety rating.
• Carriers must possess a ‘Safer Operating Status’ of active.

What’s more:

• Carriers need to have sustained their authority continuously for a minimum of 180 days.
• Carriers must carry a minimum of $1,000,000 USD in Bodily Injury and Property Damage (BIPD) insurance.
• Carriers are also required to maintain at least $100,000 USD in cargo coverage.
